Just got the Yage CD, what an awesome release! Wasn't really feeling the My Kingdom release last year and the 90's FSOL sound has always been more my thing, but Yage has definitely hit the spot.
To probably repeat many others, it would be great if they put out a proper new FSOL album

Re: Archived 9 - out 5th October, and other upcoming release
As far as I'm aware, I think the bulk of the mid-'90s archives are about drained now, although I'm sure there are still tracks lying around. But earlier stuff (including a lot of initial Lifeforms ideas), sketches, and of course the past 20 years are all still ripe for plundering. So that probably ...

Re: From the Archives 8
I've really enjoyed the Archives series. It's great getting fresh tracks with the vibe fsol were doing back in the 90's.
Been a while since this was hinted at, but is Archives 8 still on the cards?

When I was making dreams inc, I had a picture in my head of some big company that could sell dreams (a bit like the whole Total Recall idea), so the track is like their advertising theme

Defective tunes
Recently put some tracks up here that I've done in the last couple of years: https://soundcloud.com/chrisbarr-1-1
I'd be lying if I said they weren't a wee bit fsol influenced

Cool responses all, and nice to be proved wrong in my thinking PNG being most people's springboard into FSOL!

Re: First FSOL track you heard
Pandemonium, thanks for the link to your incredibly detailed thread! Will have to have a proper read through later Particularly interesting are the ISDN offcuts you mention. I came across this FSOL promo video from 95: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEQ_ZHP5qyw Are some of the tracks you listed inc...

First FSOL track you heard
Thought it might be interesting to see what everyone’s first exposure was to FSOL (though I imagine many of the replies will involve Papua New Guinea) Back in 95 (when I was 14) I heard the Far out Son of Lung track on the radio, and the presenter saying the end sounded like the Tardis landing. I re...
