Re: What are you listening to?
Yeah Magma is great. Just ordered their recent 3 albums. Their music has lovely parts in it, but it's a weird listen at first I admit. It's for the 'advanced' prog-listener I guess ;) . Just listening:"The Terror" - The Flaming Lips. This is just overwhelming me completely at the moment. A...

Re: What are you listening to?
Too much masculine energy, huh? I wonder if there are any girls who are into ae, especially their post-millenial efforts. Guess it's just a kind of 'laddish music'.sadly my girlfriend hates Autechre

Re: What are you listening to?
What other AE-album is "Exai" comparable with? Think I'll give it at least one try, still like Oversteps quite well.

Re: Bubble on vinyl?
MPB1 - as Ross already said, it's the one with most similarities to their ISDN-sets from 94-96', sample-wise and in structure and atmosphere. MPB2 - I like this one lot, lots of beautiful 60ies folk stuff on it and some weird track-transitions, e.g. the one where Chemical Brothers melts into Portish...

Re: FSOL project on R&S?
To Env5 I guess?would like to hear where they would go after Env4
No, seriously, by now I really think this is all just about Env5 getting a release on R&S for marketing reasons, so that it will be the first album since 1997 or so that will get some promotion probably.

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)
I didn't know the label was relaunched in 2009. They released so much good stuff, most of it still hard-to-get these days, like the early works of Thomas Fehlmann and Sun Electric.

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)
Yeah, that was what I was thinking. If there wouldn't be that R&S thing I would also say this is only about them releasing Environments 5 later in the year. This really sounds like something "bigger" is going on..

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)
I did not want to open a new topic for this, because it's just a quote. Is this a good choice ? Yeah I think it's OK, as long as it's not official. Maybe one should be careful anyway with anouncements on planned releases if Gaz is somehow included...(but maybe on the other hand this means there are...

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)
Wow, now THAT sounds kind of interesting, doesn't it? The long awaited 'new' FSOL album???? I can't believe it. In the end it's just another retrospective-best-of-archived type of thing... Does R&S/Apollo still exist, I thought the label closed down years ago. Anyway, thanks for the info, now le...

What's the worst thing the guys did in your opinion?
Ok, please don't feel offended all, but I think a real 'die hard' fan should be able to face the artistic missteps of his beloved favourite artist. :) (although I think the list of this will be SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than the favourite tracks one :) ) In fact there's only one track that comes to my m...

Re: what is your favorite FSOL/AA track of all time?
Hm, for FSOL I would spontaneously say it´s the Dead Cities Album Version of 'Yage', although there will come a lot of alternatives for that when I try to think about it more intensively... And for AA it´s clearly still "The Galaxial Pharmaceutical" (the 'Mispressed Version' of course) wit...

Re: What are you listening to?
Blasting my mind into hyperspace once again with "Arborescence" by my favourite Tentacles, the Ozric ones. Sooo fucking brilliant.
Btw, the effect of this music can be complemented in a brilliant way by looking at pictures from Pablo Amaringo.

Re: Limited prints on FSOLdigital
I would personally love to see the cover of the Far Out Son Of Lung single getting the print treatment. I remember a photo of the old galaxial pharmaceutical studio where there was a giant poster of that pinned on the wall, think it was from the booklet of translations or Isness. It looked pretty c...

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno
Hi, welcome too, would be great to read this. I myself had an very early edition of a german progrock magazin in which the isness made it album of the month and there was an interview, I guess it must have been around 2002/03, too bad I threw it away. it was mostly gary talking about AA and FS...
