I'm avoiding listening to any of the samples because I've had more than a few eagerly anticipated albums spoiled by preconceptions of what I want it to sound like. Often when I've come back to those albums years later and the expectation has washed away I find myself enjoying them for what they are,...

Field Recordings / Soundscapes?

I know this isn't strictly "music" as such, but I'm wondering if anyone has a good resource for field recordings or soundscapes? When I was at uni I managed to rent out all 40-odd discs of the BBC sound effects library and rip them all, but most of them turned out to be pretty rubbish unless you wer...

From Environments 2 o...

Re: Environments 5 coming soon...

Excellent news; each successive Environments album seems better than the last. Another five-part, forty minute EP would be most welcome as well.

Re: Terminal Window 3

Hi guys, it's my first post on this forum (although I've lurked it in the past). I came across this compilation recently and I enjoyed it. I'm an ambient DJ and these tracks are quite handy for me because the "environmental" intro/outro sections with just field recordings and FX are very easy to mix...
