Re: What from FSOL's yesteryears you'd like to see revisited
Thanks man. Unfortunately I don't have a spotify-account. Maybe I'll try it out. Perhaps this will work with other VR-Games too.

Re: What from FSOL's yesteryears you'd like to see revisited
So I'm playing Wipeout VR and Expander pops up in my playlist. Wicked tune. Then I put two and two. If My Kingdom is being re-imagined, what other classics of FSOL's would you like to see get a new perspective? Like I said, for me, FSOL Amorphous Androging Accelerator would be awesome. The Wipeout ...

Re: The Isness (Abbey Road cut) on 180g vinyl
I remember Gaz stated sth like the album had "too much masculine energy" in its original mix (aka the "abbey road" version). I never quite understood how they managed to release the album with that mix "accidentally" with 1000 copies or so only in the US, and then as a ...

Re: What are you listening to?
FFWD - FFWD (what a find!) Oh yeah, absolute magical record. Haven´t heard it for ages. Fripp is Frippering his Frippertronics, Weston & Fehlmann provide otherworldy production skills, and Paterson ahem... provides a sample or two (and a family-sized-package of Acid for all I guess :) ) A rerel...

Four Tet - New Energy
Nice. Best album he´s done since "There´s Love In You" and his most ambient one up to date. Definitive worth a listen.

It´s unbelievable what complex music he squeezed out of the NES-soundchip for example (don´t know, if the NES even had something like a "soundchip" ):
Edit: Ok, I think the NES had a soundchip. But anyways, Tim Follin was the master.

Re: What are you listening to?
Just realized that the guy who made the brilliant title tunes from zx spectrum games chronos & agent x (which I absolutely loved back in the days :) ) made a lot of other videogame-musics from c64 to mega-drive. I think especially this one here is friggin´genius: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e...

Re: Ramblings of a Madman - FSOL zine
EG records was the company where the King Crimson stuff was released up to the 80ies, I assume it was about getting hands on his back catalogue, copyright-issues and stuff. Since the early nineties Fripp releases on his own "DGM" label, it obviously was a long struggle since this was estab...

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Who built the moon?
Seems now NG finally found his dream collaboration with "DJ" David Holmes:
Hmm, if there´s one word I would NOT use to describe this, it would be "subtle".

Re: What are you listening to?
The long awaited Irresistible Force album just came out - and two tracks in - it sounds rather nice and trippy :) I hope he get some wide audience with this one... Ohh, cool. I absolutely love the his albums from the 90ies. Have to get this. np: Motorpsycho - "The Tower" - Oh. my. God. Th...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)
Just been chatting on the Lifeforms Repress group on Facebook, one guy said he wished they'd do a new album again. I mentioned 5, 6, 6.5 and Environmental but he was adamant that they 'contain recycled material'. Haha, it´s unbelievable, there still seem to be so many people out there adoring FSOL´...
