Ha, I started skipping through that to try and find the bit you meant and the first thing I heard was the Humanoid track at 4 minutes! There's definitely an FSOL vibe to those tracks together, that Minced Oath track is like an Electric Brain Storms cut meets Cascade 2020. Might have to give that ful...

Touched by Silence 2, a 4CD compilation on Touched Music, will be out on 30th June. Features an FSOL track among many others.

I don't think there's much of a system other than Brian realising something's been out of print for a while, or getting a noticeable number of requests for a new run. I'd imagine money and logistics only allow for it a couple of times a year, but it would be a fairly simple task to get some more made.

The CD version of Archive 5 is now in print again. The band name has been changed to allcaps to line up with the other early volumes (but the title has been changed similarly, making it out line with the others again).

Finally listening to this now. 'Mountain Path' isn't the same track as the Environment Six track of the same name. Because of course it isn't.
Tracklist is wrong on the sleeve, 'Static Field' and 'Mountain Path' are mixed up.

I can double check but I would imagine it was remastered from source. Given that Brian sought out the bonus tracks it’s likely they were sent over with the original album.

Alt mix of Calendar 2020 track 'The New Normal', 'New Normals (HT X Mix)' on this extensive 99 track comp featuring just about everybody in the psybient scene. FSOL feels like a bit of an outlier, but it's a pretty solid lineup. Download or 9CD boxset.
