Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

I see these albums are available on juno as well by the way, though the available formats are 192kbps/320kbps/wav - the wav files costing a hefty £12.99. Thanks for the tip man, that's somehow reasonable.. although I'd still rather buy the physical copy with artwork for the same price if possible. ...

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

I just checked the Beatport in order of maybe buying the enhanced editions... well, there is no flac, only wav and aiff, and they cost +17€ extra! F*cking weak! I mean, 30€ for a digital download? Forget it.

This is getting ridiculous.

Re: FSOLdigital

I'll stick my nose in and point out that FSOL are hosting these files themselves on their own servers, which might explain the preference for smaller file sizes. FLAC files are still quite large. Oh man, that shouldn't be the case with a band of this caliber.. certainly HDD/server space (i don't kn...

Re: FSOLdigital

(flac) This also. I'd probably buy the Neck Of The Woods and the upcoming Environments & Archives albums if they were available in flac, but as it is now.. It would be a wise move to offer flac, since a lot of people who prefer flac will just end up pirating the mp3's because they don't w...

Re: FSOLdigital

I think the website (old and new) needs a quite a bit of work.. sometimes you can't see the black text from the black background and there's no bio, news, links or anything like that, it's just a digital store. Also, the address http://www.futuresoundoflondon.com" onclick="window.open(this...

Re: Teachings from the Electronic Brain on Amazon

Well, it works as a great introduction to FSOL, as most best-of albums do.. PNG, Expander and Lovers seem quite out of place IMHO, since rest of the stuff is from the Lifeforms-Dead Cities era. It does include some of the (if not the) most mind blowing material they've done and it's a masterpiece in...

Re: The Otherness US misprint

That's actually the misprint that first surfaced on the interwebs in 2001-2002 (if I remember correctly).. Psychobaby doesn't list it as a release on discogs.. indeed a rarity. Interesting, could you post some photos or something? :) Uh, nm, scratch that, I read that you were talking about The Isnes...

Re: DJ Food vs The Amorphous Androgynous & 2CC

This "EP" is amazing.. it's been living in my headphones and I usually listen to the AA tracks again when I get home. Energetic, super-psychedelic, EPIC.. those are the words to describe this. No matter if you're into prog rock, electronica, or just damn good music in general, this is a su...

Re: DJ Food vs The Amorphous Androgynous & 2CC

It's like there's two groups: people who refuse to believe absolutely anything that's outside their perception of reality and there's the new-age, borderline nutcases that will believe absolutely anything. It's hard to find any objective research about, let's say, the Tzolkin (Mayan calender). It's ...

It's actually kinda danceable.. and very energetic, like most of the recent AA remixes. A great fucking tune (as I said)
