Have the guys ever mentioned where that sample right at the end came from, or whether it was a recording they'd made? Somehow is both completely out of place and yet closes the album perfectly !

My brain can't even imagine what an Autechre remix of Stakker Humanoid (well, sT8818r) will be like .... but I'm excited :D

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

I've decided to hold off on new tracks until the end of the year so I can listen to the album as an album - not listened to a few now - but I'll have thoughts later on! That's what I've ended up doing for a few years now - Don't hear any of the calendar tracks until around (at least) the first week...

Re: Lazarus Rising. 1994

This is really good - Really enjoyed that 30min set (as I'm sure people on here who enjoy the early-mid 90s FSOL ISDN transmissions would also). Hope you find some more as I'd definitely be interested in hearing what else is out there !

Re: FSOL NFTs

I bid on (and won) one that I'd had my eye on and was triggered to bid by seeing this thread. Been a fan since at least the ISDN days, so probably counts as genuine interest! The point about enviromental impact stands, but is hopefully rendered moot in the next 6 months or so due to changes in the ...

Nearly picked up the digital version of the 12'' so am happy my terrible speed at picking up new releases has ended up paying off for me :D

Re: FSOL NFTs

Looks like quite a few of these have had bids now, some from multiple bidders, so there's definitely some interest there. Wondering whether it's more 'general NFT speculation' than genuine interest - just learned about this 8 year old kid who has made $400k from three thousand slightly different pi...

Re: Enofa - Shattered Infrastructure out now

New mix, Discarded Analogue Simulations , features a couple of tracks from my next album, as well as a preview of the kind of mood it'll take. Hint: a lot darker than most of my recent material. https://www.mixcloud.com/BricolageG5/headroom-18-enofa-presents-discarded-analogue-simulations/ Takes me...

Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song

- Pod Room What an ending this track is. The final environment (Cactus) still gives me goosebumps when I hear it .... and nothing gives me goosebumps any more - it's like the weird combination of the pretty synths, the vocal snippets that sound like I'm being cursed, and the feedback followe...

COH / Soisong - SO21SONG Broadcasts

Broadcast #5 is now available - What a wonderful and unexpected series this has been ! For those wondering where to start: either work through them chronologically (link to the first one at the top of this thread), but if time is limited check out this latest one, which is definitely my favourite on...

Re: Pande-reviews: 2009.0 (FSOL - EBS Vol.4)

Oddly I'd been listening through a lot of Hassell stuff over the last few weeks as well. As he'd featured in a lot of the sets I was wondering if he was the one sampled at the end of An End Of Sorts - but soon realised that his trumpet style is quite a bit different...

Ross - Does your CD version go crazy on these two tracks at these two marked points, or is is just an issue with the Bandcamp upload (the glitches are present on both the Bandcamp preview and the actual downloads): 00.08 - 00.14 Deep Rooted (King Roc Mix) https://fsol.bandcamp.com/track/deep-rooted-...

Re: Where did everything go? I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!

I'll play it by ear and see how it goes - Yeah am always cautious of going full web3.0 (or whatever number we're at nowadays) when things aren't necessary. As much as I'm on there I think WATMM has gone waaaaaayy too far with that side of things, though that's in part due to the Invision backend tha...
