Re: Pande-reviews: 2007.8 (FSOL - Environments)

Haha you had me fooled there for quite a while! Nevertheless, I think "The Tibetan Monk Cries" would be my favorite part of Environments 1. I remember listening to this album a lot back when I was first getting into FSOL, and greatly preferred it over E2, as I still do now.

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (TV, DVD,whatever)

Hmm, that's a kind of strange scene to be using uplifting music like Papua New Guinea in the background. I am now watching the mini-series How The Universe Works. It is narrated by Mike Rowe, the brilliant host from Dirty Jobs. The content is really low level and easy to understand so far (at least ...

Re: Thanks to you all

Glad to be part of the FSOL community. I'm not exactly one of the most active posters, but nevertheless I look forward to visiting everyday.

Keep it cool, seedy!

Re: What are you listening to?

Tears For Fears - Shout
Songs From The Big Chair (1985)

Heard this on the radio at work yesterday, for the first time ever I think. Highly addictive! So there actually was good music out there before I was born ;-)

Great info, and again I realise how much work of the guys I still haven't even heard yet.

Re: What are you listening to?

I had never heard of DCD before Anastasis, and really love that album. Can't say I'm a big fan of their old work, except Spiritchaser.

np:
Triptykon - Aurorae
Melana Chasmata (2014)

Re: What are you listening to?

Arcturus - Kinetic The Sham Mirrors (2002) Recently I saw that movie Interstellar, which I would highly recommend if you can take some important plot elements with a grain of salt, and it has a very decent OST. But I just had to listen to this album again, considering the story somewhat reminds me ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Talvin Singh - Butterfly
OK (1998)

Just when I thought I had heard just about any combination in music.. This is drum 'n bass, with a bunch of classical Indian instruments (bansuri, sitar, tabla as far as I can tell). Very cool track.

Re: More and More Stuff On FSOLDIGITAL

I think I might have one of those. I bought my limited edition copy of Dead Cities four or five years ago, used but like new from eBay if I recall correctly. The booklet is in great condition. No pages missing and everything still firmly bound to the spine.
