Re: The Cartel
I haven't got into AA yet, too busy working through FSOL stuff. Although I have bought (but not listened to) Tales of Ephedrina. Tales of Ephedrina is more a FSOL thing (I think I'm right in thinking they're meant to be stuff that didn't fit into Lifeforms), but when you hit The Isness ... well you...

Re: What are you listening to?
But yeah "An End.." is great too, never noticed that it´s the same synth like on Cascade EP and Environments part2. Would like to see it come up on some future archive CD! Am I the only one who listens to the black version of ISDN then, rather than the white one? I just listen to the thre...

Re: What are you listening to?
Daniel Vincent / The Resonance Association Only heard of TRA on Friday and then Daniel Vincent's solo stuff yesterday, but spent much of this weekend listening to it (and bought a fair bit too). Absolutely love it! http://danielvincent.bandcamp.com/album/this-building-is-under-electronic-surveillanc...

Re: What are you listening to?
Damn. I went on to Burning Shed's website to order the re-issue of California, Norfolk by Tim Bowness and Peter Chilvers and inadvertently I started browsing the latest releases section and then looked at the electronica section. To cut a long story short, as well as buying the album I went on for, ...

Yup, that's me (except for the Last.fm bit).tryptych wrote:If you look at the Last.fm statistics (which is not a meter of anything 'tho), you'll see that they're gaining new fans in a very stable manner.. and that a lot of fans become hardcore fans.

Re: Sean of Autechre on FSOL
Epitome - Ae are best understood chronologically. If you're going to give them another try, make sure you're going with Incunabula and Amber. Both very beautiful albums. After that, each step gets more precarious as they head off into uncharted waters... especially for a relative newcomer to electr...

Re: What are you listening to?
Now, I don't mean to make you all envious but...
I'm in the lucky position of just having had my first listen to Environments 3.
Wow.
This has to be FSOL's darkest album. Even darker than Dead Cities. I wish I had time to listen again right now...

Re: Sean of Autechre on FSOL
I feel like I should like Autechre... now, I've only listened to bits, to be fair, so maybe haven't given them a fair try, but I just haven't been able to get into them.

Re: Saw THE ORB last night
Yes, that difference is always an important thing. I never see the point in listening to lots of similar artists - I also get bored quite quickly.
