Re: FSOL on Wipeout 2048?

The Facebook group has some ok stuff, and FB in general is alright, but there is a lot of people posting a song and liking it, or news posts with people saying "what is this?!" when there's detailed information about the release one post down. There's a much more casual approach to it which is a ver...

Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song

If you’re ok to leave the Galaxial part of the site there for the moment that’d be great - there’s actually some stuff in there I don’t have backed up anywhere at the moment (particularly the interviews!) If you need the space I can copy it all down somewhere though. 10 minute epic closing track? No...

Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song

It's been seven years since my Second Thought site went offline, and three since I accidentally buggered up the Wiki, and I have no place to document my thoughts on FSOL. Moreso, there isn't anywhere online that has a detailed, up-to-date discography of everything they've done. The best at the momen...

Re: FSOL on Wipeout 2048?

Pande is still about on Facebook, moved to Canada with his family a year or so back, I think he's still busy with the whole settling in thing. I still see Dell's name pop up occasionally on the visitors list. Craig is still about on social media, he recently relaunched his LooseLink project after a ...

Re: FSOL on Wipeout 2048?

So, thanks to OffLand for his research, it’s now known that it’s a remix by... Alastair Lindsay, who generally does audio work for the gaming industry and similar.

Re: RSD 2021 Releases

Abandoned Housing Blocks of Prypiat was an Archive 7 bonus and ended up on Life in Moments. None of the others are familiar.

Can confirm there’ll be an expanded CD & digital version a couple of weeks after.

Re: RSD 2021 Releases

Yeah, that WHE outro has stuff from the 1996 ISDN transmissions which also ended up on Env 3, it's quite a different take on the whole Dead Cities sound... generally more organic and less harshly urban sounding. The funk in part 3 really feels like the start of the journey towards The Isness. Leon M...

Re: RSD 2021 Releases

I'm still baffled that they've not touched any of the scrapped singles (Eggshell, Slider and Glass). I'm quite excited about this because, although I've never been the biggest fan of WHE, I do like how My Kingdom and Yage have taken aspects of the tracks that feel far less typically Dead Citiesy and...

Re: RSD 2021 Releases

Aha, been waiting for the announcement. Yes, WHE is the latest in the re-recorded EPs. Don’t know about the tracklist but I’d imagine we’ll get at least one previously releases track - Exploded Funk or Abandoned Housing Blocks of Prypiat - alongside a bunch of new tracks. I’d be surprised if we didn...

Re: FSOL - Music for Three Books / Music from Calendars

And fourth time for Propagate, given that it's been a compilation. Obviously two strong favourites in the FSOLDigital camp there.
