It took a few listens to get use to that weird broken beat,
the backgrounds are wonderful, but I still must say I not a fan of these kind of beats...
When they're faster or change in some way ... ok ok, too sleepy to type at this point

Re: VA - Found Sound
The Humanoid track is really strange
Sounds incredibly old-fashioned acid - I doubt it's old material, maybe some stems...
takes me back to Reason (the software), and Josh Wink, and all the slightly glitchy stuff of the early-to-mid 90s

No, that's why it says "I'd bet real money on that any day!"
I hope it will surface someday in some form...

Ross - the audiophilia is old - it just wasn't trendy back then
The 11 minutes per side on a 33rpm 12" - if you want no compression whatsoever - I saw this for the first time on an early '70s documentary about recording sounds. On the other hand, a little compression never hurt anyone

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar
Just had a couple of runs through the whole 2017 Calendar Album, and I have to say - it really flows rather nicely - feels like it's connected throughout. It's late and I'm too sleepy to write, but there's something really cool about this 'album'. Feels very soundrtack-y, with some special sensual d...

Correction - I have the BCD-2000
The wheels were really glitchy and non-intuitive, also the software (that worked ONLY on 32-bit WinXP) was looking good, but glitchy as hell...
The knobs and the sliders were pretty spot-on (thinking back)...

Re: Blade Runner: 2049
Absolutely loved it! I consider Blade Runner to be the ultimate sci-fi movie and to me it will always be top3 in the universe :) The 2049 was almost perfect, definitely a masterpiece, in every aspect, except the soundtrack. Johnasson's approach was insanely good and original, I was following it for ...

Re: FSOL:Digitana The SX-One Live Improvisations
Agreed - longer pieces are more immersive.
(there is a danger of them being boring if the immersion doesn't catch up - but this is a general remark, never happened to me with FSOL tracks)

Re: FSOL:Digitana The SX-One Live Improvisations
WoooW looks like 2017 is going for a record in released records :) Optograms is bloody amazing - I told Brian that IT HAD TO be released on some official release - and his response was that it probably will be - and here it is ! :) I also hope and dream of FSOL gigs - and I even think they will happ...

Fracti does seem a bit out of place, but the rest tie in so effortlessly

Re: Guinness World Records
I think somewhere in the 'The Most Important Moments' book was mentioned that they did have the first track on internet (for downloads) but I think it was Liquid Insects (released on Astralwerks in USA), in 1993, before Lifeforms... I might be wrong but I'm fairly certain Brian or someone else menti...
