Re: Soo...its gone quiet

Yeah, we're pretty lucky really, we've had an Environments every 2 years for a while now, a lot of groups take longer gaps between releases than that. Throw in Archives 5, 6 and 7, the EBS mixes and the occasional side project and the rate of release has been steady. I reckon we'll have something ne...

Re: Pande-reviews: 1993.1 (Tales of Ephidrina, Curve Mix)

It's actually a remix of Unreadable Communication. Not sure where 'Rising' came from. Very good remix. Bits of it ended up on Environments 1 and the opening of Archive 7.

Re: Same Songz

Speaking of Tangerine Dream, I always hear huge similarities between Tangram and the first side of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, the production is so similar.
I always though the Global Communication track was a remix anyway.

Thank God, a proper release from Luke Howard at last.
Essential listening for fans of melancholy piano/string music.

Pete - I have some ideas re: getting the live and discog sections of my site a bit more interactive - was going to discuss with you. Wiki is one idea. Who the Hell Asked You, taken from the handwritten tracklist scan of a 1994 show I was sent a while ago. Lovely piece, too. It really is amazing how ...

Re: new boards of canada lp

The thing is, the whole otherworldly melodies and nostalgic sound is exactly what I look for in music, and I don't get it at all from BoC, honestly never understood why people get this childhood thing from them. Other than maybe it sounds like kids made it (or is that being too harsh? :D )

Re: new boards of canada lp

Just for a bit of balance (you did ask), I'd say Music is Math is the only track I like by them. Generally their beats bore me and the melodies fail to move me at all. Never understood why anybody liked them, let alone loved. Compared to the complexity and depth of FSOL, the stark foreboding of Aute...

Oh yes, that one basically samples part of one of the Test Transmissions, I completely forgot about that.
