Identify the instrument.

Hi guys, not been on here for ages due to computer problems. Hope everyone's well. Can anyone tell me what instrument this is at around the 3.20 mark. Sounds kind of celtic. It's been bugging me, I think I also heard the same instrument on one of tangerine dream's earlier works. http://www.youtube.c...

Re: Heinz Classics Soup featuring erm Amorphous Androgynous

I haven't seen that ad before. But i do remember some years ago i heard the track " Tell it to the trees egghead" from the isness on an advert i think it was an Orange ad but i'm not certain. They always use music like this for ads, I think i've even got a chillout CD that's got all tracks...

Re: Looking to start composing my own music

A laptop will probably be easier for me at the moment. I don't really have a lot of room for a pc , so will probably be better with something portable at the moment. When i start to understand things more i can think about getting a PC then. I just want something that's good enough to get me started...

Re: Looking to start composing my own music

I'm saving up to get a decent laptop for making music. Can anyone suggest which types would be ideal for the job. I realise i'm going to have to spend a bit to get something decent.Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. :)

Electronic Brain Violence?

Ok this may sound like a stupid question, but what exactly is EBV? I assumed it was their own record label or something. But i can't find much information on the web. I read somewhere that it was a defunct label but if that's the case then why is the EBV logo still printed on newer releases like the...

Re: BPM interview 1993

Great video kudos to the uploader for this classic. :) I don't think it would make much differance how much money was put in to this kind of music because it's never going to be mainstream. Mainly because it's an aquired taste, people either love it or they just don't get it and therefore hate it. U...

Re: Cascade single

Yeah, the one I've got is the US version, it's got the album case and now i noticed someone from the record shop has scribbled import on the label although barely legible i didn't notice before.

Cascade single

I was wondering are there any differences between the UK Cascade single and the US version? Because i noticed on the back of my one it says something about US art design, and there is a US address on there. I was thinking it might be a US import. I presume that it would only be the artwork that is d...

Oh right, I see. silly me. Still confusing though for people that are new to their stuff. The way it was worded.

Re: Teachings from the Electronic Brain on Amazon

Where does it say 2006 edit? I have the CD i bought the year it was released and none of the tracks say 2006 edit. Also on my CD i noticed a couple of errors. It says Cascade (Shortform) original version on Lifeforms. Cascade (shortform) is off the Cascade single/EP. The Cascade on Lifeforms is diff...

Re: Looking to start composing my own music

Just throwing in my 2 cents.. I appreciate it, I just don't want to push myself to hard early on and end up not enjoying it anymore. I don't even have any equipment yet, and can't download that reaper software at the moment because the computer i'm using is terrible. Yesterday it took me well over ...

Re: Looking to start composing my own music

Yes, best not get ahead of myself this early on. I'm still pretty much a novice when it comes to making music. I'm not really aiming high to begin with, I'm just doing something i enjoy, and if one day my music is good enough then maybe I can start thinking about releases. But that's a long way away...
