Re: Well hello folks

The cassettes are packs of the cigarettes - the black 'packet' in the left hand-picture is a carry case for them. The bigger, mysterious black box is... a mysterious black box.

Re: Well hello folks

In some ways, it exists to try and cut out a certain aspect of 'classic' sexiness. Sort of.

There have been at least 5,000,000,000 new Noisesurfer tracks since you last posted! The Amorphous Transgenycous cover is terryfing.

Re: FSOL @ 20 - Accelerator

Diversion time, anyone spotted the "Demand It" petition to get fsol to play london, at the top right of their myspace page? Eh what? It's weird thinking that there are actually four pre-Virgin albums if you count By Any Other Name... but that's for another thread. There are definitely a c...

Re: FSOL @ 20 - Accelerator

The first FSOL tracks were Hardhead (Frothin' at the Mouth Mix) and Pulse State on Pulse 1, yeah. The name first appeared in the production role on the Candese - You Took My Love 12" a few months before.

Re: What are you listening to?

You know what? I don't really know. If you go to his main Soundcloud page there are some 'Buy this set' links, they're for his slightly jazzier stuff, he's got lots of music on there. He's a friend of a friend of a friend so he got recommended to me a few months ago.

Is there an option to fix it so that links open in a new window/tab?

What are you listening to?

Because it generates a lot of interesting discussion that would never normally make a thread...

Currently listening to this, which really deserves a listen by anyone who is remotely into modern classical type stuff. Pretty much everything Luke Howard's got on his Soundcloud is astonishing.

FSOL @ 20 - Accelerator

Something I've been meaning to do for a while, so now's as good a time as any. As the Future Sound of London name is 20 years old this year, I thought it would be a nice time to look back over their career and discuss what it is we love (and maybe even hate) about their past work. So I'll be startin...

What I find interesting this time is how little we know about it. If EBS2 had been broadcast on PBS Radio wh...

Re: How did you feel the first time you saw this ....

Ah, look who uploaded the video! As far as I know, that's the only quality available, it was a tiny little QuickTime video. Brings back memories, I remember listening to it and being so excited. I found Translations to be a bit disappointing on the whole - overly long and some tracks without much pr...
