Re: Ai - Paradigmension [album: 23rd June 2017]

The clips sound like they've been air dropped in from the early nineties, but that's not necessarily such a bad thing. I'll have to try and get hold of this when I can. The digital link, the blurred recordings site doesn't seem to contain an option to buy, just a link that plays a very short clip, b...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

I was holding out for a whole different track being used by accident!

You have to love the creative use of casing. I was having to manually enter the track names from the back of the CD last night. All I could think is that if it's making me wince, this must be killing you Ross.

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

I hope things improve for you soon man. About the CD I agree that the artwork is indeed very appropriate to the music this time, the booklet artwork for Environments 2 always bothers me, only the front cover seems appropriate. Interesting to see that only the centre page is by Buggy G. Riphead, the ...

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

The thing I find a little odd about them is that often they are reusing bits used as bridges in Environments 4. In particular I think there's a lengthy section that bridges tracks 1 and 2 on E4 that I seem to recall gets used prominently on Volume 1.

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

I see they've updated the tracklisting on fsoldigital to include:

23 – Half Light (Exclusive to CD Version)
24 – Perpendicular (Exclusive to CD Version)

That's tipped me over the edge into a purchase.

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

They're on Juno Download, along with quite a lot of other fsol stuff, including relative rarities such as the unboxed brain tracks and the Accelerator reissue bonus tracks. On beatport too, but the pricing on that site is done by comedians. There was talk of them turning up on fsoldigital at some po...

Good work. Not commented on this release yet, but it's fair to say the ambassadors are really spoiling us at the moment. FSOL heaven.

Re: Pande-reviews: 2009.0 (FSOL - EBS Vol.4)

Are you aware of the stuff the band put in the Pod Room on fsoldigital.com ? http://www.fsoldigital.com/product-category/pod/ Amongst the shows available are mp3 downloads of The Kitchen (NY) – 11/05/94 and VPRO (Netherlands) – 09/09/94 from which a large part of ISDN appears to be derived. It's a b...

Re: Pande-reviews: 2009.0 (FSOL - EBS Vol.4)

Welcome to the board! I have a live album of the alleged show and it's a bit inconclusive. It doesn't have the actual dialog but it does fit with the overall show, which was a spectacularly shambolic triumph over the adversity of failing/faulty equipment. My understanding is that it was originally a...

This seems to be the cover for the cut-down CD version. https://rough-trade.s3.amazonaws.com/product/images/files/000/090/471/hero/The_Future_Sound_Of_London_-_ARCHIVED__ENVIRONMENTAL__VIEWS_-_CDTOT72.jpg?1491913741 I'm assuming this will turn up on fsoldigital before elsewhere, and/or maybe some di...

Re: 10 years of FSOLDigital

From our view it looks like a highly successful venture. I'm hoping that is the case from their perspective, and that it continues for a long time, it seems to have given them a fair degree of artistic freedom, maybe financial too.

Re: Archived : Environmental : Views (RSD release)

That looks exciting, they're not doing things by half are they? I'll look forward to seeing it appear hopefully on fsoldigital in a format that doesn't involve me buying new/old hardware.

Re: Fsol tshirt

I've got the brown FSOL symbols one, it's a good quality t-shirt. The large size is perhaps on the limit size wise for me, but otherwise I'm happy with it. Would get another.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

I'll give this a listen when I get the opportunity. I like the way it states "Blackhill Transmitter have kindly donated a track", as if it's someone else. We've been over this many times but once more time with feeling.. Blackhill Transmitter's just Brian and Gaz isn't it and they're talki...

Re: wee Noel in the NME

I liked the line "Despite intentionally finding and gently pushing and trying to inspire him to go beyond his comfort zones producing some interesting ( and heated ) exchanges on occasion, generally it was fun". In all fairness to Gaz, his caps lock button doesn't stick AS often as it used...
