Future Music interview February 1998
I don't have a scanner so you will have to suffice with phone pictures. Some parts will repeat due to the framing but the main interview runs from pics 3-7 with some other interviews following that. Sorry for the quality of some of the pics. :) Change the order to 'title' if it comes up in date orde...

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
Ok, well you have what you need to sync or record already. The mini mixer isn't really required as you can go straight into the interface if it does latency free monitoring, otherwise keep the mixer in place with the modules running into it and the audio out so you can adjust your monitoring easily....

Re: First FSOL track you heard
I love Landmass. It is fairly singular I guess, but Accelerator has similar bits and some stuff on Tales of Ephidrinia and some of their By Any Other Name tracks.
I bought Wipeout 2097 to rip the track from the disc as PS1 games often stored the audio as actual tracks.

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
I suspect that you currently use a USB cable to connect your keyboard to Sonar and that is your only interface. What is likely is that you need a MIDI interface with standard DIN connector on it like this http://www.m-audio.com/products/view/uno#.VXcmmShRUqY Then you can connect the DR5 or MC303 to ...

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
No, you don't need to worry about sysex, that is a special set of messages for control, although there is no harm in learning a bit more about it, it is rarely needed unless you are creating a special controller in a DAW. What DAW do you use? You need to send synchronisation from it to the MC303 to ...

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
Ha ha. It's not a competition. I have forgone learning to drive and saving for a house buying that. Most of it is second hand too and some got at good prices at the time. I should shift a few bits which have become redundant though

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
The simplest way to get patterns off the DR5 would be to plug the MIDI out into your In on the computer and record the patterns you want. You could them multi track each part in by muting the individual instruments in the DAW. The Groovebox will likely sync to your DAW. You may need to set up the sy...

Re: Terminal Gear Thread
Nice set up there Offland I have a Volca Bass, but find myself using it for its upper register rather than bass. I've got several bass machines to cover that side of things anyway.
