Re: Environments 4 - clips now on Juno!

After hearing the juno clips I predict a rather brilliant album. The second one is my favourite so far, just awesome. Most of the tracks seem to be in the vein of stuff like 'Summers Dream' or 'Sunken Ships', exactly the kind of sound I expected from an album consisting mostly of newer stuff. 'Archi...

Re: When FSOL were a cheesy 80s electro duo...

Ah this was from the Accelerator 2CD version, right? Is it known from which year this one is? My guess considering Gaz' hairdo would be 96.

Re: When FSOL were a cheesy 80s electro duo...

Okay. This is really bad. At least it SOUNDS a bit like an old commodore video game.
(But that cover is great! A nice find anyway.)

Re: When FSOL were a cheesy 80s electro duo...

Haha, those were the days, when gaz'n brian were loaded with masculine energy.

Is this a cover from a record? I would love to hear what kind of sound the "laser cowboys" were producing.
But it also looks a bit like cover from an old commodore video game.

Re: Environments 4 - clips now on YouTube

'Murmurations' sounds interesting. I like the idea of FSOL albums that sound a bit like AA and AA records with traces of FSOL in it, like the two projects morphing one in the other. But if the rest of the record is as ambient as the other snippets suggest...hm. Let´s see.

Re: DJ Food vs The Amorphous Androgynous & 2CC

Funny to hear Mike Oldfield on a MPB-Mix. I love the Ommadawn album. Fits quite well.
Ian "Kneel" is Ian Neal I presume? Nice mix again.

Re: DJ Food vs The Amorphous Androgynous & 2CC

A Lead Box won´t help I´m afraid. You will have to store your harddisks on the ISS or even on the moon, I´ve heard the chinese are planning to colonise it in the near future. Although it may prove to get a bit difficult to get the damn things up there. Maybe built your own rocket? ;-) OK, I´m just k...

Re: What are you listening to?

Yeah, I think said "Üdü Wüdü" album is the best to start with, especially the a-side (first five tracks). It's a bit easier to get into than their other 70ies albums. There is one called "Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandöh" from1973 which is considered as their masterpiece. I'm not sur...

Re: What are you listening to?

My last 2 musical discoveries in the last weeks: 1. French psychedelic/progressive rockband "MAGMA", a very special, very strange, very fascinating and at least in my ears a very funny sounding mixture of jazzrock, modern classic and Star Trek. Choral lyrics sung in a fictional language (&...

Re: Environments 4 available for pre-order on Amazon!!!!

Well I really do like most of the stuff they did, I think they're quite brilliant in what they do, but yeah, the hype around them is a bit inappropriate considered the fact they only released 3 albums and ep's in about 17 years. I mean they still seem to have a wide audience waiting for any sign of ...

Re: The Isness due for re-release?

I've ordered it 2 Weeks ago and amazon here says it will be available on april 20th. I really do not want to believe in that date like being some kind of agent mulder who desparately "wants to believe", but i somehow like the thought of getting my hands on an original copy of the definitiv...

Very good news. Strange thing that it's already available for preorder on amazon but not on fsoldigital. Is it known when it's available for download?

Re: The Truth

Gosh! Blimey! Sounds rather like a spambot trying to pretend he´s british. In fact it´s russian, trying to lead us back to THE ROAD TO TRUTH. BTW, the first image on this russian lady´s site (the one with the island in the sea) remembers me a bit of old 90ies-style techno video clips. Maybe she is a...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Now I finally had a listen to the song and I´m quite impressed by it. It´s the usual first class quality cosmic brain-melting psychedelic rock entertainment I expect from my most favourite Dance-Disco-Producer-Boys-Duo. Less unnerving vocals than on previous remixes. Still looking forward to the alb...
