This is a remix of 'Divinity'. I have no idea how nobody (including myself) spotted this in the past.
I still think it's bloody brilliant, too. My second favourite version behind the Spector Mix.

Hmmm, I just noticed that if I change the '.org' into '.cc' the images work !

So, PETE, HELP - is there a way where you can mass-change postimg.cc into postimg.cc ??

There's a censor feature available for these kinds of boards so I'd imagine that would be possible. Peteyboy?

I'm contemplating updating this board as I'm concerned of security risks etc. of running something several years old. But am simultaneously concerned that doing so will make this place explode to death. The reason I'm mentioning it here is that one of the features in the new version is a bulk SQL query runner meaning I'll be able to do batch text replacements, potentially making a quick fix of this aforementioned URL issue.

I've backed up everything just now but .... I dunno what do you think ? It's a *big* update, meaning I'll have to redo everything to stop it looking all 'factory default' but I've noted down all the changes I made so it'll just be a case of following my steps again....

You're very welcome :) I'm a bit scared in doing this big upgrade as it didn't work last time I'd tried it, so I'm happy to have found that admin tool that allowed me to do this database maintenance without having to undertake such an upgrade. Gonna have to do it sometime though, but this has given me a bit more time in putting it off!

Nice one Pete. As for the bigger job... rather you than me! Although I'm sure it'll all come together nicely like it normally does :)

From the Essential mix 12-04-93:
14:31 White Noise - The Visitation - (Island Records, 1969) - unknown spoken samples in the back...

The sample is from Apocalypse Now. The photojournalist, played by Dennis Hopper, talking to Willard.

This is actually remix of Requiem named (A Floating Leaf Always Reaches The Sea Dub Mix) from this single: http://www.discogs.com/Killing-Joke-Change/master/17575
The remix was made by Thrash (from The Orb) and Greg Hunter.

This is actually live version of 'O.O.B.E.' taken from their "Live '93" album. However at the beginning you can hear also 'Plateau' taken from the same album. It stops after couple of seconds.
The O.O.B.E live version here is not taken from the "Live 93" album, but from the "Peel sessions" album. The guitar loop you hear here is not on the version from "Live 93"

The beginning of "Plateau" is actually by The Tape-Beatles from the album "Music with sound" , The Orb sampled it and used it on the live versions of Plateau.

Finally, someone recognized the track on youtube - this one's been bugging me for years :)

FSOL - Kiss 100 FM Test Transmission 2 (xx.10.1992)
The Aquastep track played at 1:33:45 is the Eric Nouhan & Dimitri remix of 'Caroussel' and it's being played at 33 instead of 45 rpm.

23:58 Reload - Rota Link - (Infonet, 1993) - Global Communication alias
- Reload was originally a Mark Pritchard solo project. Later Tom Middleton joined Mark on some of his Reload releases, and "& E621" (the name of a chemical flavor enhancer) was added to specify Middleton's involvement/flavour enhancement on a track (similar to the set-up with "Link & E621").

26:30 - (medicine cabinet) "If you feel you are not properly sedated, call 348-844 immediately..." - (THX 1138, 1971)
- THX 1138 is a legendary sci-fi movie, also a directorial debut of George Lucas.
Just having a listen to this mix and, whilst the THX 1138 sample is indeed present, it's actually part of the Reload track, rather than something put there by FSOL.
