FSOL project on R&S?

Post by DeadCitiesEverywhere »

I got this information from the Renaat Vandepapeliere's Facebook profile, the boss of R&S Records.

Quote: "New FSOL to come on R&S or Apollo ( who knows ????? )"

There is nothing official, but it's worth talking about here I think.
Some pictures with Gaz, Sabine & Renaat Vandepapeliere.

Cheers guys.

Wow, now THAT sounds kind of interesting, doesn't it? The long awaited 'new' FSOL album???? I can't believe it. In the end it's just another retrospective-best-of-archived type of thing...

Does R&S/Apollo still exist, I thought the label closed down years ago.

Anyway, thanks for the info, now let the speculations sprawl...

I said it, there is nothing official.
I thought it was important to share this information with you, anyway.

I did not want to open a new topic for this, because it's just a quote.
Is this a good choice ?

Yeah I think it's OK, as long as it's not official. Maybe one should be careful anyway with anouncements on planned releases if Gaz is somehow included...(but maybe on the other hand this means there are proper AA releases coming upon us...Oh no,can't stop speculating (: )

This sounds interesting.I had a feeling something might be in the works.A radio show that I've been on asked FSOL a few months back if they would be interested in doing an interview / showcase show.Their reply was that "they are busy working on a new album".I didnt want to mention anything until I knew more but it sounds like somethings brewing.

I would say 'working on a new album' might mean Environments 5 (or even a new Amorphous one - it's about time, five years since The Peppermint Tree!). But I can't imagine anybody talking on behalf of a label like R&S would mention something if it was entirely speculation - that sounds quite promising and very interesting. The idea of them releasing on a label that isn't FSOLDigital is quite unusual after the last six years of self-released works. I wonder where this will lead...

Yeah, that was what I was thinking. If there wouldn't be that R&S thing I would also say this is only about them releasing Environments 5 later in the year. This really sounds like something "bigger" is going on..

Since this may be an important announcement, to prove my statements, here is a screenshot.

A bit more, from a recent interview (from here: http://theelectricunderground.net/eltel ... ss/?p=5200):

Which artists would you still like to work with & why?
Renaat: “Wow! There are so many, too many to mention, such a long list of people. I am hoping to do something with my friends the Future Sound Of London soon”

I didn't know the label was relaunched in 2009. They released so much good stuff, most of it still hard-to-get these days, like the early works of Thomas Fehlmann and Sun Electric.

Perhaps it would be useful to edit the topic title:

FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999) + FSOL project with R&S Records (Non official)

We've had far less concrete news here before so I think it warrants its own thread really!

Sounds very cool, would like to hear where they would go after Env4. Sounds like something abit bigger than Env5, but in the end it could be like Ross said, we'll see.
