Yeah so I guess I have to obtain a pinch of psychedelics for this :)

Really still dunno which one I prefer. I was tempted to say 6point5 first because of the more fleshed out nature of tracks, but then I give Six another spin and it turns out f*kn brilliant too. Love the fact there are so many seque sections which make it feel so EBS-like. Wasn´t sure about the cohesiveness of it all at the beginning, but it turned out to flow pretty seamless with each run more.

Overall I would say there is quite a continuation from the second, more electronic half of Env5 and I was heavily reminded of the "Life In Moments"-album too at first listen.

Just pure awesomeness... psychedelics should work pretty fine with this, @tryptych ;) ...

I really hope mine show up in the post tomorrow. I could do with a bit of a lift or perhaps some euphoric sadness.

but they don't do standard albums do they...

They iterate and make series, of mixes, of themes, of lots of things...

Something similar is happening in the video world - movies became 99% shit, while TV series got genius quality.
I get your point Pande, but what i meant is that they keep on relying on albums (album=collection of songs written and recorded in the same time period, with a similar mood and often with similar instrumentation). Their albums are very cohesive, even if their series as a whole aren't (Environments are very different among themselves, as the archives). But each album tells a story, and that's why I love albums (and FSOL, of course).

Really? Quite a heavy amount of releases, almost Frank-Zappa-like :)
I must correct myself: it's 41 albums, not 40. As far as I read, E6 and E6.5 are two albums also available separatedly, like The Cartel Vol.1 and 2 (which I consider as two separate albums) and unlike Lifeforms, where the two discs aren't available separatedly. So it's 41 albums.

FSOL = LSD in sonic form. Oh, and the album is absolutely awesome. Best so far in the Env series.

Yep, same here. It feels like everyone else already has it and has listened to it loads already, while I'm holding out for the postie to come up with a physical copy. More likely, I'm waiting for her indoors to send a "what've you bought this time?" text. First world problems eh...

Have had my purchased FLAC files of 6 & 6.5 sitting on a USB stick since Friday but have yet to have any time to sit down and enjoy them.... So looking forward to it from all the descriptions I've read, especially the IDM-ness of E6 that Ross mentioned

Same here. And now the weekend has gone, if it shows up in the next day or two it's going to be a matter of finding the time to actually listen to it. Still hoping it shows up today though, even if I don't manage to listen to it tonight 8-)
