Continuing my FSOL-catch-up by hopping way back in time and having my first listen to The Pulse EPs.

he's got one other album that i'm seeing at the moment
a year or two newer than that one

i shall hear that one next ;)

ok ROSS!
in honor of our man i'm back on the train and really turd of the tides wasn't nearly as horrid as i was expecting :)
so i think melrose/rockoon might be my lowpoint of it all we'll see
i can see how it can come and go as the years continue to pass
tyranny is next :D

Ah wow, wasn't expecting that! I find Rockoon much more tolerable, although Tides is definitely more 'interesting' I suppose. Will be interesting to see how you fare moving on to Tyranny and then Goblins Club...

Now playing Presque Rien by Luc Ferarri.

Ah! Yes, it's considerably more listenable than some of the earlier '90s stuff.
Are you going to do the soundtracks, or move straight on from those to Mars Polaris?

I listened to Tyranny of Beauty a few weeks ago and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. That said, the Spanish Guitar solo in the first track made me physically cringe. I haven't plucked up the courage to listen to Turn of the Tides again yet. I definitely prefer Rockoon to Tyranny and Turd, but then I listened to it quite a lot when it was first released. I took the safer approach yesterday and basked in the glory of Phaedra and Rubycon.

Today I'll not be listening to anything, I just broke my headphones! I'll be listening to idle chatter all day instead. Balls.

Oh, I really like the Spanish guitar solo. Completely different to anything they've done before, took me by surprise.
