Have you listened? I'm waiting till I get my CD to have my first listen that way, but that'll have to a couple of weeks as I'm going to Canada.

Btw, my new favourite Orb track is now Codes. What an awesome track that is.

Or the direct link to the soundcloud page is here:

From what I've heard of it, it's enjoyable enough.

Would it be cynical of me to suggest it sounds like a Thomas Fehlmann solo record with a few samples laid over the top of it?

That's been Patterson's contribution to The Orb for years*

I think we all know that's the case.

I enjoyed it, anyway. A continuation of the two previous Fehlmann based Orb records. The sound suits the longform style surprisingly well.

Yeah, I've only heard the last track that was on Bleep but the long track suited the style perfectly. I've missed long Orb tracks !

Sounds pretty cool, I wasn't even aware there was a new album to be released this month!

:D

Fantastic track indeed, my favorite of the highly underrated album The Dream.

Yeah it's a pretty solid album. The usual fluffy dub-techno flavour with paterson throwing in a sample or two :) Pretty similar style to 'Baghdad Batteries' imo.

I have to say - this is sounding pretty good, very good in most places.
I have a few arguments to say about it, but don't have time right now...

I am really enjoying this album as well, been playing the LP's non-stop for a couple of days now. Works great as background music when reading or whatever, but also a it's also real treat everytime when paying full attention to.

2015 is a pretty good year for new music so far for me :)

It's a very very good album, I'm listening the title track 'Moonbuilding 2703 AD' on repeat for days :)
- awesome stuff, and I'm a sucker for funky ambient tunes :)

- the vinyl has extra stuff, 3 versions of a track called Moon Quake - but in reality 3 different tracks (the main 4 tracks aren't even single tracks, they're looong, but they all contain tracks within the tracks, so not really long)

Moon Quake (Slice Of Silver) - has a sample from Bucephalus Bouncing Ball by Aphex Twin :) -- the last two versions of Moon Quake sound like they came of something very similar to the SAW collections by AFX, or some very early trippy Orb stuff...

You listen to it on repeat and didn't notice that 'Lunar Caves' has this sample also? ;)
Both tracks also have sample of Kraftwerk's 'Morgenspaziergang' from 'Autobahn' album.

Only the title track was on repeat, but yes, I noticed about 12 hours the Lunar Caves sample too :)
