ok please don't take away my fsol fanclub privileges but is this brian? is the answer to this question well known? sorry to be a 'n00b' and not 'l33t'

around 30 seconds into 'totem' there is something i think i've heard before in an fsol track but for the life of me i can't place it. anyone hearing this?

also, does 'elders' samples boards of canada's 'davie addison?'

oh i remembered where the bit from totem comes from. i'm not totally sure bc it's mixed so differently but it sure does sound like that little guitar riff around 1:10 in 'room 208' imo

Seafar is a guy called Steven Harran, grew up in Glasgow and was a friend-of-a-friend of Brian's. Now lives in Australia.
Haven't heard the album yet but I'll have a listen out for those samples once I do. He's sampled FSOL on earlier releases. He is/was a regular on the Twoism boards so wouldn't be surprised if there are BoC samples in there too.
