Available on vinyl too innit... Same release date.

I'm guessing this will landing on fsoldigital a little earlier. Wonder if they do the whole bonus tracks incitement thingy they did with E4 and A7.

Yeah so er

Following on from the themes of the first 4 Environments albums, Five explores the space / time / dimension that exists when we die. The moment of departure. It includes appearances from Daniel Pemberton (BAFTA nominated / Ivor Novello winning composer), Raven Bush (Syd Arthur) and Riz Maslen (Neotropic). The Environment series originally began as an archive of previously unreleased recordings but Environment Five features thirteen all new songs recorded in the first half of 2014.

CONFIRMATION THIS IS THE NEW FSOL ALBUM GUYS

Guessing the 'discs' in the tracklist are for the vinyl version...

Disc: 1
1. Point Of Departure
2. Source Of Uncertainty
3. Image Of The Past
4. Beings Of Light
5. In Solitude We Are At Least Alone
6. Viewed From Below The Surface
Disc: 2
1. Somatosensory
2. Multiples
3. Dying While Being Held
4. Machines of the Subconscious
5. Dark and Lonely Waters
6. The Dust Settles
7. Moments Of Isolation

Good to see the 'viewed from' series making a return.

Is this the first time a FSOL album has been given a literal concept? I mean rather than the loose 'imaginary world' / 'real world' ideas of Lifeforms and Dead Cities...

OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!

(ps. presuming the 'Dark And Lonely Waters' track is that one featuring that sample at the top of the page, wasn't it featured in an EBS in the past ?)

Also, no sign of Five G, ****** or Strange Glare. It's possible that these have been renamed; it's equally possible that the 'first half of 2014' remark in the description is true, and this wholly new record replaces an earlier incarnation of the album - in which case, we'll probably see those tracks appear on a future Archive record.

EBS 4 was sub-titled The Spirit of Dark and Lonely Water, sampling that Public Information Film. Never expected it to turn up on an album! Such a wonderful sample.

Isn't it better to wait and purchase CD/vinyl directly from FSOLDigital.com ?

Yes, I would strongly recommend buying from FSOLDigital. The last two releases have had FSOLD-exclusive bonus tracks, and you're obviously supporting the band more by doing so. :)

Cool to have that 'dark and lonely water' - thing again. A great track title too.
And wow - a concept album about dying. It´s quite a bit heavy isn´t it? Given that and Gaz´comment about loosing touch with once important people and then meet/remember again somehow...this album is going to a highly emotional affair, I suppose. Euphoric Sadness all around...

Oh, and there´s a 2 discs too at amazon.uk for the CD-version, that´s probably a mistake. I guess it was confirmed that it´s not a double CD, right?

Oh, and that's going to be a busy/expensive week for me... new Pineapple Thief and Mike Doughty albums are out that day too, as far as I know. And Amplifier the week before. Eek.
