I liked RAM from the beginning a lot.
Still like it (maybe not a lot).

The playing and the concept and the production are stunning, as I said, this kind of funk is dying and the last time I heard it was on the second Jamiroquai album. And then come the stupid robotic vocals and the guests... and fuck it up... still a good album though, but it gets boring, especially the hits. As I said, Get Lucky is the worst track on the album, and I still think this album will stand against the time... we'll see...

yeah i'll admit i'm jaded when it comes to DP in the first place

they were all hyped up back in the day and then i come to learn that they did the "around the world" tune that plagued the pop world for awhile and well.....i just can't =P

i can respect the pop production well enough but it's just too pop for my taste

the vocoder stuff is fine but gets pretty old when it's like your trademark vocals

and yeah as far as RAM goes i'm just not into the guests

i think the guys got talent.....just not for me.

good reference to jamiroquai totally agree there (though like jamiroquai better)

Not really a fan of Daft Punk there's only been two things I've liked by them -

This track:

(actually on the same album Revolution 909 has quite a nice vibe)

And this track from 2:20 onwards -

I have a lot of Zappa albums,
still waiting for my full attention,
but the little that I've heard - I liked a lot.

Awesome, "slightly" apocalyptic hippie/stoner/psychedelic grooving from Sub Pop. Easily one of my favorite albums of the year.
from the source flows the endless...

lol to call me a zappa fan would be the understatement of the century!

with the exception of bootlegs - i surely have everything him or gail has ever released.

he's quite an influence on me to say the least

it's almost like you don't want to get me started on this topic ;)

Bark Psychosis - Hex
A classic. Anyone who likes Slowdive or later Talk Talk and hasn't heard this should track it down.
