Bjork I'd suggest Vespertine - really haunting ambient stuff for the most part.

"All Is Full Of Love" ends the Björk golden era IMO. And what an ending! :D

Here are my favorite b-sides/remixes after going through ALL the singles/remixes of that era, in almost chronological order:

1. Venus As A Boy
2. Violently Happy (Fluke) (Even Tempered)
3. Isobel's Lonely Heart (Goldie Remix)
4. You've Been Flirting Again
5. Possibly Maybe (Dallas Austin Mix)
6. Big Time Sensuality (Plaid Remix)
7. Hyperballad (Girls Blouse Mix)
8. Possibly Maybe (Lucy Mix)
9. Jòga [Main Mix by H. Bernstein]
10. Hunter (µ-Zig Remix)
11. All Is Full Of Love (G. Sigsworth Mix)

no 4-on-the floor crap for me ;)

"Music From Atlas Dei" is great, great ambient. "Below Zero" is also some of his best work IMO (and probably the darkest).

Lately been listening to the Björk remixes and less known stuff from her EPs, absolutely love 'em.. especially stuff from 1993 to 1999.
Always been a big fan of Mr. Rich. I've been lucky to see him perform in Louisville (6?) different times going back to 2000 or so. I've always wondered why he's the only ambient artist we ever see here - must have a soft spot for the UofL campus. Always amazing performances though... He did all of 'Atlas Dei' at the Rausch Planetarium years back, complete with all the DVD visuals- absolutely incredible. My introduction to his music was 'Seven Veils' in '97 after it was on constant rotation on Echoes, which is still one of my favorites.

For those of you who prefer their ambient music dark (*cough* Herd) I'd recommend 'Stalker' (with Lustmord), however my absolute favorite, and the one I'd recommend to the majority of the folks on this board, would be 'Bestiary' - one of the weirder albums, with some definite FSOL-vibes going on. I included 'Dante's Anthropomorphic Zoo' in one of the Terminal Radios, I forget which.. Which leads me to this... One of my most embarrassing moments from my crazier years (2003 I think?)- I told Robert that Bestiary was "the ultimate mushroom trip". He gave me the ol 'smile and nod' and 5 minutes later, I was absolutely mortified I had said that. Really nice guy though. One of the quietest, most humble dudes I've met. I think I redeemed myself in conversations years after that, thank god. (But I definitely wasn't lying when I said it.)

Np! Enjoy.. Yeah I'd be flattered at that compliment as well, but I probably just came off as some starstruck hippie, and Robert's a little more the reserved type, so naturally I was *facepalming* myself afterwards. :geek:
