Man, looking at that reminds me how f*cking incredible their discography is.. the amount and quality of stuff that has came out since the Archives 1 is amazing.

That's one helluva legacy.. :)

Imagine seeing that picture ten years ago.

Well, you can't.
Since two-thirds of that picture wasn't released 10 years ago :)

That's my point - if you saw that ten years ago imagine how blown away you'd be by the amount of new releases coming.

Yup. It really is a tale of two decades (and a bit) with FSOL. The website, as a fan, is the best thing that could have happened. I've really enjoyed listening to the ISDN mixes and going 'ah! So that's where X in From the Archives comes from'.

Yeah saw that this morning, it's not bad :)
- somehow too poetic.
- I always disliked vague abstract (but cool) words describing music...

It's a nice and positive if slightly pretentious and overly wordy review. I'm surprised Gaz hasn't given any interviews in a vague attempt at promoting this album further. Or indeed with the various Cartel releases.

Do you think 'Viewed from Below' has a sample of this (not this video, but the instrument)

I remember how pissed off some of the pedant fans were when E5 came out - about the thing "why is Environment Five" in singular and Five written with letters instead of a number.

Going through the ENV series these past few months, I actually see there is no pattern at all with the numbering.

Environments 1 is actually named Environments.
Environments 2 is actually named Environments II (in Roman number).
Environments 3 is actually named Environments 3 (with a normal number).
Environments 4 is actually named Environments 4 (with 4 made as a degree number).
Environments 5 is actually named Environment Five (with Five written with letters instead of a number).

- So the only thing that still jumps out is Environment singular instead of plural. This is probably because the previous 4 volumes were albums made of Environments from different eras, and Environment Five is a single environment of new material from 2014.

The first one is also Environments 1 (as a degree) on the spine, and the second is Environments 2 on the spine and the back, so yes, there's no consistency at all. Environment instead of Environments still irks me though, as strictly speaking that makes them part of different series.
