I generally avoid discussing stuff I don't like - "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all" - but I will be so fucking happy when the hype has died back down and I don't have to read about Radiohead everywhere I go. Without doubt the most fucking overrated band in the history of music.

Think the hype really died down post Kida A - not seen (outside the more independent press) barely any mention of Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief, or The King of Limbs. Their new album seems to have had quite a lot of chat on social media, but hardly to the same levels as someone like Rihanna, Kanye West or Beyonce

Ah, well as an active user of social media and various music websites, it's difficult to avoid the hype when a new album comes out, which is incredibly annoying when you happen to find said album mind-numbingly boring once again. Tons of music I don't like I can appreciate why people would like, but post-Amnesiac I cannot find anything musically worthwhile in about 95% of Radiohead's material and am increasingly baffled the whole thing.

Well as long as they take six year breaks between albums I can just about deal with that, haha.

Oh man, don't get me started on Atoms for Peace. The most overproduced music ever. What's the point in having a bassist like Flea and a live percussionist and then processing them so much they sound like VSTs? Absolutely horrible music.
Ha ok I'm out, I'm not adding anything positive to this thread at all.

Radiohead are making it really hard for me to like them / respect them.
I happen to agree with Ross on this one so I'll comment no further.
I do have to comment that Noel is a piece of shit human being and dislikes the band for all the wrong reasons.
OK, bye now

In the meantime listening to A Moon Shaped Pool for the first time. Though I must admit that Im not excited with the new album, its obvious that Thom York is a bloody genius. Observation: track 8 - The numbers, just listen to that and tell me you are not imagining a Radiohead/AA collab, really, cmon, honestly now. Present Tense - really liking this one.
