Interviews needed

Right, I'm finally getting that website update finished (next few weeks probably), as I noticed it's so fucking out of date it still has a speculative page for Environments 3. Does anyone have the following interviews they could send me for the press section? Computer Music June 2010: Ambient Master...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Interesting you mentioning Asperger's syndrome Ross, I heard someone mention not so long ago that electronic music tends to appeal more to people who have Asperger's. To be honest I haven't read enough about it to properly understand, but found the comment quite interesting. Until then, all I reall...

Re: Loose Link Thread - Next Release: "Karramantha"

I was about to say 'that's a lot of Tangerine Dream!' before remembering that, in the grand scheme of things, it's really not, ha.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Ha, absynthe scares the crap outta me. I'm an old fashioned English gent at heart, my tipple is a pint of ale. Or a few bottles. I stopped getting hideously drunk after one too many awful experiences (waking up in a strange flat in London with no coat, no wallet, no keys, no way of getting home - hu...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Given that we're all sharing personal stories, I'll explain perhaps why I'm a bit different regarding music. When I was 10, my dad bought a CD player and got a CD of The Shadows - 60s instrumental guitar group - which I fell in love with. Before that I had no interest in music whatsoever. When my da...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

I suppose it depends on the person. I've never taken psychedelics, unless weed counts, and don't really have much desire to either. I know a fair few people who like FSOL, The Orb and other such groups and I don't think any of them have taken psychedelics either. It's a whole subculture I've never r...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

Y'know what's interesting - and this is probably a discussion for a whole 'nother thread - I found that most drugs actually decrease my appreciation of music. Listening to something like Lifeforms induces a sense of euphoria, relaxation and - if I choose - imagery and imagination better than any dru...

Re: Sheuneenio - LA Galaxy Futboleros

Maybe it's the fanboy in me, but I'd love to see an interview with her about the FSOL photoshoots. I wonder what she made of them, and what she thinks of them now. Does she even have the CDs?

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

To put it more simply: if it's not in the mainstream media, people don't know it's there. People don't know to look for music so they don't. Given that many people have music as something to enjoy while going about their busy daily lives, this isn't surprising - and it's nothing something I begrudge...

The Life and Times of FSOL

Somebody's writing a chronological album review series on their Wordpress which is quite entertaining, called 'The Life and Times of FSOL', thought people might be interested in reading if they have nothing to do! http://tuningintoobscure.wordpress.com/author/tuningintoobscure/" onclick="w...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

It's not an electronic project. People are jumping to that conclusion because Amorphous Androgynous used to be an electronic outfit" i thought it was not a secret anymore that Amorphous Androgynous are a psychedelic-pop-rock band. i mean, do still people believe that Amorphous are going to rel...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

A few vague details from an interview in Spin: What about your album with British electronic and psych-rock duo Amorphous Androgynous? "It sounds a bit like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. The sound is similar to High Flying Birds, but more psychedelic and tripped out. It's not an electroni...
