Re: Albums in order of preference

As a relatively new FSOL fan - certainly not one from the 90s - I think I can be a bit more objective in saying that Lifeforms and Dead Cities truly *are* masterpieces, no nostalgia needed! 8-)

Ed Wynne - Shimmer into Nature

Very nice - sounds much like Ozric Tentacles, as you'd expect. Makes me wonder again what happened to Seedy, as he liked OT a lot. Seems he just disappeared from here suddenly.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

Really nice track too. How do FSOL do that - something that in many ways is quite weird, but it sounds so good!

Oh, nice! Didn't see anything posted on FB or anywhere, but maybe they haven't got around to that yet. I'll order it now :)

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

Really enjoying this Calendar album, now I'm listening through to the whole thing from start to finish. The only slight problem I have with it is that track 6 or 7 is way louder than the others! It kinda breaks the relaxing vibe when I suddenly shit myself.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

Well, luckily we won't be waiting until 2019 for the last calendar track :) A Humanoid track and very enjoyable it is too. Quite laid back, with a nice glitchiness to it.

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

Would this be the ultimate in FSOL shenanigary if the last track of the 2018 Calendar album is released in 2019? I'm also looking forward to listening to the whole thing, as I've so far limited myself to just 2 listens to each track when they came out and I can't even remember what many of them soun...

Re: What are you listening to?

Crikey, I thought that Orb album was probably their worst ever. Sounds totally half finished to me. :o The last couple of days I've been mostly listening to: Dark Buddha Rising - Ritual IX Gary Numan - Savage (Live) And I guess that's going to see me through til the end of the year... unless I get ...

They still got it... brilliant stuff, great album altogeher. Probably my favorite since 2007's The Dream. Merry Christmas!
This would be in my top 5 albums of the year, great stuff :)

Re: FSOLDigital Calendar

I have to admit when I saw the title/description I was expecting it to be very much a "throwaway track" for some reason. But this is great! The dark vibe reminds be a but of the Yage Woodlands album. It is nicely eerie, indeed :)
