Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 -3

As I think I mentioned in another thread, Long Shadows is a remix of Paths by Robert Miles that was obviously not released because they decided on the Cosmic Jukebox remix instead. ISDN/Lifeforms material is really tricky, because stuff like Dirty Shadows originates from around the Lifeforms era, ev...

Re: FSOL remix or original?

It features Distant Memories and She Fell Backwards/Stark Tower, which makes it rather interesting in terms of content, helpfully placing these around the ISDN era. A fair amount of unknown stuff in there. Not a great quality bootleg, from memory. I'm sure it's around somewhere...

Re: FSOL remix or original?

Licensing costs, selling for just a couple of pounds each but probably paying just as much in licensing to cover royalties for all the music on them. Shame, really.

Re: FSOL remix or original?

12 Hour kiss was just four of the 3 hour ones from 1993 pasted together which Kiss ran in 1995 for reasons unknown, so it'll probably be somewhere on one of those too, then.

Re: FSOL remix or original?

There's quite a lot of stuff going around as 3D Headspace Tour, including an hour long bootleg of a show that was sent to an American radio station on cassette - obviously they didn't have an ISDN linkup. I'm also guessing 'radiotrance mix' is from the 3D Headspace Tour. If I remember correctly, one...

Re: FSOL - From the Archives Volume 1 - 6

Oh, go on then. March Of The Money Men - I reckon probably 1992. It sounds more advanced than Accelerator but not quite up to Tales/Lifeforms level of complexity. So I'd put it as 1992 alongside stuff lke Tokyo Travel. Light Forming - Lifeforms outtake. Coast Line - 1992 again I reckon. Cross Winds ...

Yeah, I've bought a shit load of stuff second hand from Amazon and Discogs and have never had an issue with the quality.

Re: What are you listening to?

Yeah, when I visit my girlfriend in Folkestone they only have a rock/pop section, no dance, urban or metal sections like the bigger stores. Even the one in Leicester is like that, so I'm not surprised the Derby one is the same. Surprisingly in Maidstone we have a relatively decent selection. The big...

The photos page is about as extensive as I could make it. Gaz was supposedly changing his image every week in 95/96.

Re: A question about Amorphous Androgynous live

Depends on the lineup of Amorphous at the time, it is a pretty, er... amorphous band. Members come and go. No idea who a lot of them are, although they were touring with the Alice in Ultraland band for a couple of years, pretty much the members credited in the sleeve of that.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread

What's interesting is that this new track is being promoted as a remix rather than a different recording. Wonder if that says anything about anything? Noel was keen to let everybody know Shoot a Hole Into the Sun wasn't a remix.

Re: What are you listening to?

HMV have recently upped their music stock, the one here has pretty much doubled their rock & pop section and lots of it looks as if it was stuff that's been hanging around in warehouses for years, so you might be in luck. But your best bet, realistically, is a used copy online. Both UK and Us ve...
