Lately..

- revisiting Coil, some of the stuff is god awful, some of it genius and completely unique. The 90's/early '00 material is basically all I listen from them. Absolutely maddening stuff. They just don't make them like that anymore. Or ever. Watch out for your mental health.
- The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud, an obscure band from the 90's. See above.
- Sinepear, ambient/chillout stuff from the Virtual label (ISHQ & co.) Pretty good but nothing that mindblowing. Really mellow.
- The new Aphex.. best not to say anything.
- And of course, Enviro 5. Definitely not my favorite of the series, second half is better IMO.

I need a new power supply for my PC before I can access my flac collection since this piece of shit doesn't give enough juice to power up the USB HDD they're on. Probably will get one in a two weeks or something.

I don't know much from Coil, but I think Time Machines is a masterpiece! Still don't have a legit copy of it though, so hard to find :(

wow, that's the first time I hear about a power supply problem like that. USB hard drives don't draw (at least they're not supposed to) much power at all.

Ulver - Bergtatt

Getting really excited for the upcoming reissue box.

What track was it? Might have been one of their '80s ones if it sounded like a band.

Really though, if you don't get on with Karl's vocals, Underworld are not the band for you. He's a huge part of what makes them them.

Dark & Long maybe ?

If you don't like the vocals you might like this mix of it:

Funnily enough, I was going to recommend this Dark & Long EP as an Underworld record without the vocals; it's basically an instrumental album disguised as a 'remix single' - only the radio edit and Dark Train mixes have vocals of any sort. I don't think any of the tracks are remixes in any real sense of the word, much like some of the 'parts' on FSOL's singles.

I absolutely love most of his vocals (regardless of the often obscure lyrics). One of the best examples I think is Banstyle/Sappys Curry. And m.e. from Dubnobass, and the meaning of the lyrics from what I understand of it in this one is actually pretty good. I should really check out their first two albums also.

Well, after asking around it's actually my MOBO's USB connector that's not providing enough juice to power up all the USB ports. I just moved my collection to an old-school 500GB Maxtor with an external power supply. That thing is built like a tank! I'm just glad I got my collection back..

Lately I've been also digging into the Sub-conscious Communication's discography (cEvin Key's label). Some strange IDM and experimental stuff there..
