Thank you for the recordings, now if only I could find the pre-shows of the previous ones...

If you have a little patience, it looks like they're all getting a release soon.

I have a lot of patience. I live in Turkey and packages never reach there, so I order everything to my parents' address in Germany. When they reach them, I have to wait until they visit us or I have some business trip to Germany.

The Mind Maps albums usually reach me about 8 months after they are shipped.

That's an amount of discipline I can't imagine having, especially for new FSOL haha!

I did spot a couple small gaps in android's file (00:33:02 and 1:28:37) but not nearly enough to account for a 15s discrepancy. comparing the two waveforms it's as if mine just runs ever so slightly faster and they fall further out of sync as the files progress. no idea how such a thing happens with a digital recording from a digital source!

Note, my file also came in louder, but I don't think there's any actual clipping.
Hey Warpy I had to have a look at what DAudacity had captured that evening and spotted the little gap @33, not sure what accounts for that. I am fairly certain I heard a brief glitch at one point, so that may have been that. I certainly wasn't getting the drop-outs that others were suffering. My hard drive did go one that night, temperature did go wild, which had me sweating for a bit.

As for the recording level, I kept that at a conservative, thinking that, should there any issues, they could be dealt with later.

no worries, i wish i had given a little more headroom during my recording but i think it came out ok without much clipping if any. as for the gaps, i'm pretty certain it was simply stream buffering. i had a few of those in my own recording too but once i edited out the silence it was seamless with no actual content missed. i had been listening during the show via my phone app (which had no dropouts at all) while separately letting my undisturbed laptop record from the web browser, and when my phone stream wrapped up my laptop continued playing for another one or two minutes after due to those buffering gaps creating the delay.

as for the total duration difference i have no idea, because the couple buffering gaps in your recording weren't nearly enough to account for that time. to my ear the pitch sounds the same between the two recordings, but given it's less than 15sec across a two hour show i'm not sure a pitch difference would even be noticeable even if one of them was ever so slightly sped up or slowed down for some unknown reason. if i absolutely had to put money on it, i'd say it's probably my recording that was sped up given that yours is closer to the 2-hour broadcast time, but if i hadn't had your recording to compare it to i never would have even noticed anyway. also i did mine just via a chrome browser plugin which was probably less trustworthy than routing it to audacity.

The mix was released as a promo CD to... I dunno, some people. Maybe those who bought both editions of the album? Anyway, I've popped it on Discogs. Also means we have a nearly full tracklist (missing the last three tracks from the mix):

Most of the tracks appear on both the CD and LP versions of Mind Maps 6 plus the promo CD, with these exceptions:
Heogen – Autumn Twilight / Fluffy Inside – Magnetic Mr Apples (LP & CD only)
Min-Y-Llan – 444 / Min-Y-Llan His-Hell (LP only)
Meat Beat Manifesto – Deformer / Sundial Aeon – Cold Matter Kingdom / Robert Leiner – Days Like Others (CD & promo only)

The promo CD also has Inkipak, Karsten Pflum, Soutien Gorge, Drøn, Riz Maslen and Acreationator remixes, all of which have either been released on earlier Mind Maps, or were released in alternate mixes on earlier Mind Maps.

Hi,
do you confirm that there is no complete tracklist (and track times) for Mind Maps 2 & 3?

This might be my fave remix of theirs in a long time - As you say it's so very ISDN-y, though I could also totally expect it appearing around the Dead City era sets too (sounds a bit like a relative of the track Dark Matter (which also appeared in From the Archives vol. 2)). So fantastically dark and clonky
