The track really reminds me of a modern update to a Dead Cities era track (on one of the live/ISDN shows) but can't quite place it - It's the sound at around 1:46 that does it, want to say G Electro or Tingler 96 but don't think that's it ....

There’s definitely a very 90s feel to a lot of the sounds in there - the clicky beats are very typically modern FSOL/Humanoid, but all those echoey samples could come from ISDN or the darker Dead Cities tour material.

It’s a bloody brilliant track and really captures the atmospheric side of FSOL that has been less evident on the e7 trilogy so far. Loving it.

Was wondering why it sounded so familiar, forgot it was featured on Mind Maps 2 - great to hear the original and this full length version of the remix!

Covert 4 out on Touched.
Would be surprised if there wasn't something FSOL/Humanoid on there, although it's hard to spot.

'Dead Giveaway' is my guess, very much in line with those Humanoid-esque tracks like 'Tiny Machine Birth'.

Don't think I can spot any Douganness on this one. Think the only 'well known' (obviously a subjective term but you know what I mean :D ) is possibly Plaid with 'The Land Of Zero's & Ones' track

For me “Damaged Cells” sounds the most obvious one, though it starts to sound less like a FSOL/Humanoid track towards the end. It sounds like one of Brian’s more IDM Humanoid tracks. Only listened really listened to the first five or so tracks full though so opinions could change.

damaged cells doesn't sound quite right to me, reminds me of humanoid of five years ago rather than modern. idler has the same mix of acoustic drums and lack of melody as a lot of e7 stuff so that's my guess.

now I think about it dead giveaway doesn't sound remotely like fsol to me so the fact that ross is guessing its fsol makes me think it must be. there's no way anyone would guess that without insider knowledge

Confirmed (listened both versions)
The first track listed here: Cold Steel - Here We Go has no connections to Dougans/Cobain.

The compilation however, is called Son of Acido and it contains the track:
Humanoid - Slam (Hip House Mix)

which is exactly the same track - as released on the Humanoid Slam single (on CD and 12") called
Humanoid - Slam (Hip House Version)

So I don't think a duplicate compilation track needs to be listed just because of a slight name variation. Ross - thoughts?

Did you read the quote from Brian confirming that it was him?
