I am a tad confused, is this only a Trip Maps release but no Mind Maps ? I ask as the two usually go together.

Tonight's Mixlr show is "worth recording" according to Brian.

Gah! I joined the mixlr.com late due to work meetings. Has someone recorded this and willing to share? I believe I'm catching the last 20-30 minutes -- it's amazing!
One of the things I love about FSOL is every new thing makes me feel like it is exactly the new sounds my brain and soul needed... words couldn't express but as soon as you hear it you know it's right on. Been that way since the mid-90's when I discovered them.

30 minute warmup: Rapid Eye Movements. This is the third of four '30 Minute Dreamscapes' (we've had two already on previous shows). Might be a release one day.
Brian described tonight's mix to me:
"Thought album playback was to easy
So designed a journey that incorporates some old trip maps tracks remixed
Plus some exclusives"
So it's not just TM3
Turbulent Space – Feeling Something or Lapsing (fast breaks, melancholic synths, title comes from the on-screen variations on 'FSOL' from the 2009 shows, signifying this is an FSOL project)
The Amorphous Androgynous – Persuade Nightshift (dubby remix of WPOWAI)
Enofa – Big Meat River (unreleased track of mine given a mix and polish by Brian)
Pleasurefields – Hands of time (Yage 2nd Mix)
Turbulent Space – Phat:Dog (Outro) (acoustic guitar, sitar, strings, gorgeous)
Zen Wooly – Icicle (fast-paced track with acoustic bass and flutes, lots of exotic voices and sounds, some field recordings from the Deseo remix; by Brian's partner Lysa)
Tim Koch – Ragaloog (Yage Mix) (mid-tempo track, lots of layers of guitar, laughter, one raga-like chord running throughout)
Congas, sinister piano notes, noodly guitar solo, slight bossa-nova-ish feel? Groovy
Paris Workforce Trio – Jump Ship (jazzy track, double bass, brushed drums, trumpet solo)
333 – Smoke Filled (blippy electronics and organ, someone thought it might be a Pemberton track?)
Turbulent Space – Phat:Dog (deep growly electronic bass and chunky breaks)
Groovy acoustic track, Americana but with some eastern sounding strings in the second half
Electric tabla-ish track?
La Bomb Atomique – Way Up Stream (groovy instrumental, very MPB-ish. Brian and Simon Wells track from 1998)
Hedge Birds – Are You There
The Future Sound of London – There is Nothing (loose drums, moody, reminds me of the Miles Davis track that always turned up on MPB mixes)
Park – Can't Go On (Outro) (backwards guitars)
Lies Not War – Horse and Me (acoustic guitars, loose jazzy drums, fuzzy electric guitar, quite gloomy and doomy, apparently built from recordings made during Amorphous sessions)
Yage – Chop Strat 4 (sax improv over backwards electronics, gorgeous, followed by a sped up version of 'Vast Landscape')
The Ashtray – Back Room Jam (lo-fi, live sounding blues jam)
Snake Oil – Token (fuzzy psych jam, mix of old mono-sounding drums and clear instrumentation, strangely sentimental for FSOL)
Mind Maps 6 is finished, art being completed, looking at a mid-late summer release. Will be CD and vinyl (probably another 'selected tracks' for the LP)
